I just made my first Pinny from Boo! Designs for the Pattern Reveloution Pinny Challenge.  There is just something that screams "little girl" about this pattern!  And it also takes me back to my childhood.  I can remember wearing similar jumpers and dresses back in the 80's.  I might admit some ruffles were involved, maybe. I was not a girlie girl by any means. At least I didn't consider myself that way.  Give me a comfy pair of jeans and a tee shirt and I'm a happy girl.  I didn't wear dresses very often.  And there could be no pink AT ALL.  But watching myself on the only home video I have of myself as a little girl, I can see where they thought I could pull off the ruffles.  I was the pitcher for my softball team.  Every time we were up to bat, I had to fix my pony tail.  I was very picky of how I held the bat, ball, glove, how I stood in the box and I never swung at the first pitch.  I had to see how they were going to pitch to me...constantly analyzing others.  A trait I still have today!  SHOCKED right?  LOL  SO, this VERY girlie girl to my left over here can pull off some serious ruffles.  I do plan on making more of these.  They are fabulous!  So easy to sew.  And like Kristie (from Boo! Designs) reminisces about those Choose Your Own Adventure books which were also a HUGE favorite of mine, there are a ton of creative ways to make this into something your very own!  Now let's hope that lace overlay is a huge success and wins me the rest of the collection!!

On a side note....that last pict of Jenna reminds me that this dress might make a great Alice in Wonderland Halloween costume.  Now to convince her of that!!!
